According to Zeno’s observation if we continued to halve the distance between exactly where we are presently in space and our physical destination, we would never arrive at that destination. So all of us who thought we arrived at the various places we set out for throughout our lives technically never got there. Maybe that is why things never went quite as we expected! (Which raises the question where was it that we did reach?: some sort of twilight zone, Zeno might answer, a state of limbo we have known as existence.) It isn't so much about arriving as we think if remember Jesus saying that He is the way, when Thomas wondered how they could know the way if they didn't know where He was going. We don't need to know much about where we're going if we trust the One WITH WHOM we're going. We don't need to know exactly what it's going to look like or what all is going to happen if we know HOW it will happen, that is, at the hand of the One who loves us with an intense and lasting love.
