We cannot separate Christ from Christianity, and also we cannot have a false Christ who would speak as we wish and like and function as per our greed's and evil desires.
"But you have not so learned Christ," Ephesians 4 :20 (NKJV)
Paul inspired by the Holy Spirit while writing to the church in Ephesus reminds them about learning Christ, learning Christ is much more than learning about Christ or knowing about Him.
learning Christ is hearing from Him and learning from Him as mentioned in the following verse...
'if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus:" Ephesians 4 :21 (NKJV)
Paul had a firsthand experience with Christ and same is required for all who believe in Christ, for there are no second generation Christians.
When you sit in the church and hear the sermon and clap at the eloquence of the preacher, you have known the preacher and known about Christ, yet when you in the words of the preacher hear God and feel Him , you know Christ, same is with any Christian book you read, for all our preaching, teaching and singing should bring glory to God and that will only happen when our hearers and readers could see only God in all we say, write or sing.
God is not far away from any of us, not does He presents Himself as too great as not to be reached, for every time He is a very present help is trouble and is always just a prayer away.
Dear One!!! learning Christ is not a burden, rather a privilege, a privilege we need to avail, for without Him truly we can do nothing, for He alone is the embodiment of all blissfulness and peace.
