I was so proud of how organized it was getting in my writer’s mind, jotting down careful notes and all about what to write next. Well, maybe the notes weren’t so careful after all, because when I returned to them a few hours later I could only read about HALF of them. This was akin to what is meant by the saying that “I had it all together but i forgot where i put it!” I wrote it all down but then I couldn’t read it, my own writing no less. It took me about 12 hours to decipher prayerfully what i had written. Thank you, faithful Lord! So now I know that though I have mastered the first step of remembering or having it all together to jot down certain promising ideas, there remains a second step, remembering to jot them in such a careful way that they can be deciphered and retreived! Otherwise there’s no guarantee I’ll remember where I put what i got together. There will always be at least one additional step in this walk of faith.
