Hearing The Voice Of GOD (Series), Part 1: Holiness
by Bayo Omoyiola, Jr
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord - Hebrews 12:14
But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear
- Isaiah 59:2
Holiness is a primary requirement for every Christian that desires to be hearing from GOD regularly. GOD said - 'Be ye holy' because he knows it is possible to be holy(1 Peter 1:16). Perhaps you feel it is not possible. I want you to know it is possible. With GOD, all things are possible.
Holiness is also GOD's requirement for anyone who desire to see the LORD. You must be holy. So in other words, if you desire an intimate walk with GOD that would involve you seeing the visions of GOD and also hearing his voice, you must be holy.
From Isaiah 59:2, we clearly see that sin can hinder and separate a man from GOD. Sin is Satan's nature. He sinned and was thrown out of heaven. Sin can end your relationship with GOD.
As a Christian, you must sanctify yourself and consecrate your body to the LORD and be open to the voice of the LORD.
The Holy Spirit is holy and does not like sin. So you must stay away from sin and keep the presence of GOD in your life by staying clean.
