Shattered

It shattered

Her life
was just a jar
of beauty
that broke on the
hard floor of life

Nobody saw
it crash
but it
was broken.

Nothing
could bring
the fragments
together

No adhesive
could bind it
in any
artistic way.

She was
one of the
fragile ones;
the pitiful
ones.

But then she
met Him
in the coldest
and meanest
February night

And He
piece by piece
created a mosaic
out of the
crash heap of
her life.

Years later
in an unexpected
uninvited room
she took her box
of words and
feelings and
poured it
out

Some
did not
approve
but the
only One
that mattered
was moved.

I saw the image of Mary pouring from the alabaster box- a priceless ointment on Jesus' feet. It was a great analogy. I enjoy your poetic style. Great job!
