His Name Is Jesus
A friend and I felt we needed to go,
So to the park we went, why we didn’t know.
The conversation was on the sermon this morning,
How He will come without any warning.
While walking we heard a stranger ask,
After he took a drink from his tarnished flask,
“Just who is this man your talking of,
And what do you mean he lives up above?”
Well I sat right down on that bench at his side.
And told him a story of a beautiful ride.
Told him he’s welcome to join and the cost is free.
I could even be sure there’s a seat next to me.
The Conductor is kind and will never leave.
But the trick to this is you have to believe.
Everyone there will be the very same.
There is no misery and no rich man’s game.
You will however have to leave that poison behind.
No need for it there, it’ll be wiped from your mind.
You’ll have more friends than you ever knew.
And your life will be bright and perfectly brand new.
Oh yes, I almost forgot to say,
No dark night will be there, only the light of day.
There is a Man there that wants you to know,
He’s here to help you and He’ll never say ‘no’.
Just for you He offers the purest love.
This is the man that lives up above.
He’s with you now and one day He is coming to free us.
This man I speak of, well His name is Jesus.
