One of our natural habits is dishonoring God when we have much money to feed ourselves and to waste around.
We consider money to posses the power to buy anything and everything and then the devil comes in with the additional package of money with pride, so much that we even forget our Creator, our God.
"Do they not blaspheme that noble name by which you are called? "James 2:7 (NKJV)
James, in the verse above tells us how the rich blaspheme the blessed name of the Lord God.
This is what is an ideal prayer for riches as stated in the Bible :
Two things I request of You
(Deprive me not before I die):
Remove falsehood and lies far from me;
Give me neither poverty nor riches—
Feed me with the food allotted to me;
Lest I be full and deny You,
And say, “Who is the Lord?”
Or lest I be poor and steal,
And profane the name of my God. Proverbs 30:7-9 (NKJV)
Thus our best state is not being the richest or our worst state is not being the poorest, rather in every circumstance how we honor God is what matters.
We are eternal beings and thus cannot stand long with pride upon the soon fleeting money, we need a strong base, we need to make our house on the rock of ages(Jesus Christ), for He is our eternal security, He is our eternal possession.
