Not all the promises and plans God has for us have to take years. In fact, most of the wonderful opportunities and blessings He wants to give are just around the corner. We are the ones who often turn those very promises and plans into longtime wilderness experiences.
Even Moses and the rest of God’s chosen people, didn’t really have to take forty years to get to the promised land, but they allowed their moaning and complaining and lack of faith to keep them wondering around for way too long.
So often, we get sidetracked on our way to where God wants us to be and in what He wants us to do. We start looking at what we see around us instead of just going on in faith. Claim His promise for you life. Don’t waste time looking at your circumstances in the now. Don’t wait until you can see the evidence of His promises before you start to believe. Believe now!
When we become “new creatures” in Christ, our entire mind should take on a completely new way of thinking. It is our flesh that makes us operate in the mindset of, “Where’s the evidence?” He can accomplish great things in us and for us, if we truly believe.
Open your mind to the endless possibilities through the truth and power of the Word. God’s capable of doing so much more for you and for anyone who will just believe! After all, the Word says:
Hebrews 11:1 - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
How many times do you have to go around the mountain? Come on. Get your house (mind) in order. Stop letting the Devil puts negative thoughts in your head and allowing the things you say to limit the power and truth of God’s Word. Years ago I heard this expression from a Christian friend, “You can have what you say!”
I was just young enough in the Lord that I didn’t really understand what it meant. Today, I am thankful to say, “I understand.”
Jesus didn’t speak in the negative. His words to us were always seasoned and said in complete agreement with God’s will and God’s word. There is power in the Word because God is the Word.
Mark 12:24 - And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?
Try a new way of approaching your everyday life. Get more into the Word and really allow it to transform your thinking. Each and every step you take, you should take in faith. Walk on into the perfect will God has for you. Trust those steps.
If you begin to feel doubt and negative thinking start to creep in, then just stop and read His Word. Get down on your knees and talk it out with the Lord.
Matthew 12:25 - And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
While we are on this earth, our house is our physical body and our body is controlled by our mind.
Ephesians 3: 14-21 - For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
