You keep looking for something.
Just what, you can't say, but it keeps tugging at your heart and soul.
Most of the time, you try to hide it.
And work very hard just to deny it.
Yet, you cannot escape what you can't explain.
All the while, you hope someday day to change.
None of your friends can help you in the struggle.
Sometimes, just living seems so meaningless and cold.
You sense within you there is more to your existance,
Than the continual emptiness you've come to know.
CHORUS:
And you tell me that you don't believe in Jesus.
That He gave His life at Calvary.
You say you see no purpose, in the life that you lead.
Still you keep searching for a reason to believe.
Time passes very slowly in the night.
It is a shame that no one else can see.
You keep hoping someone will discover,
How much your heart and soul want peace.
All the happiness you knew as a child is gone.
You feel so lonely and tears come easier than laughter.
What happened to your hopes and dreams?
You did have them or don't you remember?
CHORUS:
And you tell me that you don't believe in Jesus.
That He gave His life at Calvary.
You say you see no purpose, in the life that you lead.
Still you keep searching for a reason to believe.
There is this hunger that nothing satisfies.
The something lacking in your life, you just don't understand.
You are tired of all the games, the deceptions and lies.
And disappointed in the promises of man.
Would you think about praying?
Asking God to take away all your confusion and sorrow.
Your hunger will be fed.
Get a new life in Jesus today, why wait till tomorrow?
CHORUS:
And you tell me that you don't believe in Jesus.
That He gave His life at Calvary.
You say you see no purpose, in the life that you lead.
Still you keep searching for a reason to believe.
Broken dreams and promises can be restored.
This and so much more is waiting for you!
Just get down on your knees and talk to the Lord.
He'll hear every word you say,
But...
FINAL CHORUS:
You tell me that you don't believe in Jesus.
That He gave His life at Calvary.
You say you see no purpose, in the life that you lead.
Still, you keep searching for a reason to believe.
