They say there is a room in Heaven full of tears weíve cried
Every drop the Lord collects and places them inside
As you wander down the streets of gold and gaze at your new home
I wonder if youíve seen my tears or the room in which theyíre stored
Do you know how much I cry for you as I lie awake at night?
Have you seen the jars collected from all the tears Iíve cried?
Or are you unaware of all the sadness down below?
As your family mourns your loss are you worshipping at Godís throne?
Have you heard the angels singing, have you climbed the Tree of Life
Or eaten of its fruit as you bask beneath Godís light?
Have you run across great fields of green, stretching out new legs
And marveled at how strong they are, thereís no longer any pain
Everything is perfect in that mansion where you are
Pain and sadness canít be found, youíre in paradise now
I canít help but wonder if you think of me sometimes
Here on earth you always cared, I was never far from your mind
I guess Iíll have to wait until the day we meet again.
I canít wait to see you at the gate so I can hold your hand.
Together we can walk down those streets of gold
You can take me to that special room where all my tears are stored
Youíll hold me once again as we close and lock the door
Never to return to the place my tears are stored
Weíll turn and run to the River of Life and dip our toes inside
Laughing and chatting like old friends as if we never said goodbye
I heard there is a room in Heaven full of tears Iíve cried
And every day that youíre not here it grows ever larger in size
