Dear Lord, my burden today is heavy.
Seems as if everything is closing in on me.
I have no peace in my heart this morning.
Without you, I cannot escape my misery.

Dear Jesus, my heart has been broken.
All the joy, that was once mine, is gone.
I made the mistake of trusting in man.
I listened to his empty silence for your sweet sound.

Dear Jesus, give me the strength to overcome my weaknesses.
In my battles, help me fight and not doubt.
Teach me to follow you, precious Saviour.
If I head off in the wrong direction, turn me about.

I just seem to stumble sometimes.
I get afraid of being all alone in this world.
Though, I know, it's just a lie in my mind.

Dear Jesus, I can't help, but hear what people sometimes say.
This woman is foolish, to trust in this God.
Yet, I know you have kept me covered by your blood.
I would have nothing, if I didn't have your love.

Dear Lord, take my hand and give me the stength and courage to follow you all the days of my life.
I know that in you, all my fears drift away.
Lord Jesus, there will be new strength for my tomorrows.
If I trust you, in prayer, today.
I actually wrote this when I was in my late teens. I was a babe in Christ, but I still have those days, as a women, wife and mother that I feel exactly the same way.
