What other voice speaks with the certainty of truth? What other source holds the promise of eternity? What other power sees through the eyes of love, and judges with a heart bent on redemption? What other light guides without blinding, reveals without shame, illuminates without censure and warms without danger? What other master has burdens so light and a yoke that is so easy to bear? To whom shall I go, if not to God? He is the God of the broken hearted He is the God of the lost and the defeated He is the God of the forlorn, the captured and the imprisoned He is the God of the weak, the simple, the needy and the broken He is the God of all who seek him in humility The proud man will not seek his throne The rich man will not seek his table The violent will not enter his pasture The unrepentant will not seek his cross I will trust in the lord my God when my days are darkened I will cling to faithfulness in the longest night I will sing his praises when I am on the verge of defeat I will glorify his name when evil men have claimed victory At no time has he failed me In no place am I alone I am never beyond his reach My circumstances do not escape his notice My trails are a prelude to righteousness and faith His love has been proven and his strength cannot fail.
