Two instruments are very crucial to our everyday lives but the other is just following what another instrument is doing. It is funny to visualise and see the impact made by this tiny instrument called a thermostat. It can make the whole lounge warm during a cold day or it can make it cool during a hot day. The thermometer on the other hand cannot change the coldness or hotness of your room except to just measure the temperature that has already been changed by the thermostat.
In life there are two different kinds of people. One group behaves like thermometers, they are influenced by others and they just reflect on how much they have been hurt or excited by certain individuals. They take what this world gives them and they reflect that. There are thermostat individuals like Sir Seretse Khama who was the first president of Botswana and brought democracy to our nation. Nelson Mandela fought and subdued apartheid. Mother Theresa did not want to see anybody hurt and in lack. These are but few examples of thermostat individuals who made the world what it is today. They are world changers!
Thermostats are busy setting the temperature while thermometers are busy checking how much has the temperature been changed. Thermostat individuals are usually quiet and busy working towards their success while thermometer individuals are busy complaining about how thermostats are burning them, this makes them counterproductive. Your presence must be felt on this world before you depart from it. Change is eminent and desirable; therefore become a world changer.
