When we think about a person's testimony; we tend to think of the people who have been delivered from addictions to drugs/alcohol, those who have escaped the sex trade, and also those who have been delivered from prison. These tend to be some powerful testimonies, but know that it's not the end of the list. Any type of test one goes through and overcomes produces a testimony. It might not be used in such a way as a Life Changing testimony, but be ready to share it because it will encourage and help someone.
For two weeks, I've been involved in conversations about testimonies. Those conversations are what gave me the idea for this article. No matter your live, whether you have lived a hellish life or a righteous life; God can use your story. The hellish life will show the depth of God's Love and Amazing Grace. The righteous life will show His Strength and the way of Escape that He provides and prepares for all of His followers. Both testimonies are powerful and will use them both to get the glory.
I want the Christian who's been walking with the Lord as long as they can remember to know that their life and testimony is important. It is easy to lose focus and become jealous of someone else's testimony. Let me tell you from experience, you don't want the actual experience of some of those testimonies. Your commitment to the Lord and staying power is a testimony in itself. Your testimony is a verbal witness of what He has done in your life. Rev. 12:11 states that the way to overcome is by the Blood of the Lamb and their testimony. Others and yourself will overcome by your testimony.
Do you know what makes a Powerful Testimony? One that is shared with others. We go through tests to be strengthened and to let the next person know what's possible. I hope that God is blessed when I'm able to share my testimony and I want the same for each of you. My desire is that this articles has changed the way that you look and think about your testimony. My life has not been totally pure, so how AMAZING is it that God kept some of you pure and whole! Whatever Size, Shape, or Color of your testimony is; be proud of it and share it whenever He opens the door. You will be truly blessed by doing it.
