The extent to which an insect CAN grow is limited by its shell. A shark is limited by where it is kept, if you put it in a small pond it cannot outgrow the pond but if you take it into the sea it will grow to as much as it can. The environment in which something lives actually plays an important role on how much it should grow. However this may not mean only growing up in the physical body but it is inclusive of the desire of everybody to grow in mental capacity and supersede their current environment.
I want to grow up in my commitment to Godís word. I desire to grow up and change my ordinary language to business language. Whatever you are doing in life you must grow out and outgrow it. Our outward man is growing everyday and after crossing the thirties in terms of age, every hour that passes by, the physical strength of the body is waning whether one likes it or not, while on the other hand the mental strength and capacity continues to grow and in wisdom as well. The clothes that you put on whilst you were 2 years are not the same clothes that you put on. Same applies with your life in general it should experience a drastic change.
Let us desire growth; desire to expand in your life. Change situations and circumstances around your life because you are growing out. God will help you grow out and outgrow your current position. It is possible by Godís grace.
As I read your article Wilani, my thoughts went to this verse of Scripture, "But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ." (2 Peter 3:18) Sometimes believers are too complacent and never venture forth into deep waters and see how magnificent God really is. Today God is still doing miracles, still calming the ferocious seas, still walking on the water but we do not experience these wonders because our boats are anchored at the quayside. I hope believers accept your challenge and launch out spiritually and grow to their fullest extent. Thanks for this article Wilani and may God continue to bless you.
