This fish won't snap at anything that happens along
no, their hooks it will not bite
But be cautious in what to take in it's mouth
for some food is just not right
They will dangle it right in front of you
having the hooks baited oh so well
With all their fancy names and different sizes
and dark waters is where they dwell
I pray for directions, in right areas to scope
to know what has been swimming there
For some hooks have been on a many trips
and some of them had no mind to care
So many spools of it's kind has left it's mark
where their lines were cast in mess
And many good fishes, swallowed hook and sinker
instead of first putting it to the test
Lately, the waters are troubled dark and scary
hard to say what will come up now
It seems everything goes, no more time to search
just settle anything that comes around
The stingrays and sharks don't have this problem
their well equipped to handle the bait
When approached, their protective gear is strong
though it may be a bit out of date
The new stuff today is floating up and downstream
on it's run during the day and night
And the innocent fish will soon become it's food
when they don't know what is right
I now watch in wonder with a spiritual insight
something God promised to all that ask
For to fight spiritual battles, we do need it
that will make easier for each task
It will enable us to swim through clear waters
and won't be deep and dark as the sea
So that nothing will, come upon us unaware
and it's backed up with a guarantee
Sad, some fishes won't ask, but, keep on eating
then get trapped, hooked and caught
They were looking at the license, before the name
but, the word they had not sought
God has a plate he desires, for us to eat from
but we refused, the warning's that came
So then the nets were waiting for the big catch
to be ensnared by the Devils game
But, this little O' fish it will swim on by
toward the sunset with a joy within
And remember to thank God for looking out for it
as it waves to the wind with each fin

not every spirit, but try the spirit whether
they are of God;
