According to St. Luke's account, JESUS before deciding who his closest disciples would be, did a night vigil on a mountain praying all throughout. And when it was day, he called his disciples and among them he chose twelve including Judas Iscariot the traitor (Luke 6:12-16).
If JESUS made such a choice after praying all night long, consulting God the Father on who should make his final list of twelve and ended up choosing Judas, a choice which led to his betrayal, then I wonder what choices we will make in the absence of prayer.
Of course I know that His choice of Judas acted as a catalyst for our salvation so it couldn't have been a mistake but the fact that Judas was an enigma is undeniable.
My message is simple: let us eschew non-prayerfulness!
