I had to ask God, "God why is it that so many people say they are saved but continue to live in sin and constantly do things that are an abomination unto You?"
God's response was, "They possess My Spirit. But My Spirit does not possess them!"
The only way you can successfully walk the Christian Walk and be transformed into the image of God is when the Holy Spirit Possesses you.
Possess by definition means to gain or exert influence or control over; dominate.
The Holy Spirit has been with you every since you accepted Christ into Your Life. You weren't even able to come to Christ without His intervention. Yes--the Holy Spirit has been inside of you all along. The VERY POWER OF GOD---LIVES IN YOU!! The SAME POWER that ressurrected Jesus from the dead. Jesus had to have a body when He was walking down here on this earth. Have you ever wondered why the Holy Spirit was not given a body?? The answer is because He dwells in you. Instead of having just one body or one temple,he has millions of gazillions of bodies/temples walking this earth. That's some SERIOUS power!! But He can only operate in our lives when we allow Him to possess us. Until we welcome him and get to know Him, He is a stranger in our homes. How many of you welcome strangers in your home? I'm sure not many of you.
Much of our lives, we learn about Jesus. We learn about God. But the third Person of the Godhead, the Holy Spirit is to most people a mystery. I don't beleive it is coincidence. I beleive this has been a weapon of the enemy. If he can keep us ignorant about the Holy Spirit and His person, then the devils kingdom down here on earth is safe because we will not have any power over him.
Jesus is up in Heaven with the Father. He is not coming down here to help you. He is your mediator UP THERE. But He is not coming down here. That's the Holy Spirit's Job. But He can't do it unless you learn about Him. Learn Who He is. Learn How He feels. He has feelings just like you and I. He can be grieved. He can be vexed. He can be quenched. He talks. He intercedes for you...
As amazing as He is, very few of us know much about Him. We always here that the Spirit of God will not dwell in an unclean place. That does not mean that once you confess Christ and you are still doing things that are worldly and fleshly, that the Spirit of God leaves you. It vexes the Spirit of God, but He does not leave you. He's still there. God said he would NEVER leave you nor forsake you. The phrase instead means that when you give your life over to Christ, your temple, the Holy Spirits home is filthy. It's dirty. There is a lot of stuff in his home that makes him feel, "not so at home". So what does He do about it? He starts cleaning you up. He starts cleaning up His house. He starts remodeling the house and then sweeping out some stuff and rearranging a few things. And He continues to do this until his Home is pleasing to Him. I urge you, if you are even halfway serious about wanting to walk successfully on this Christian journey--Learn about the Holy Spirit of God. And once as you learn about Him, apply what you have learned. The transformation that He will make in Your life and in the lives of those you come into contact with will blow your mind.
Don't just possess Him. There is no TRANSFORMATION in that. There's no POWER in THAT. The transformation and the power only comes when the Holy Spirit Possesses YOU!!
We thank you for this day that was not promised to us. Help us Holy Spirit to RE present God to the world every single day of our lives. We know that this is only possible Holy Spirit when you are working in us and through us. We ask you right now Holy Spirit to do a transformation in us that only You can do. Teach us about You Holy Spirit. Teach us Your ways. Teach us about Your feelings. Help us to become your Best Friend. We love You. We repent for all of the times that we have hurt you. We repent for all of the times that we have vexed You. We repent for all of the times that we went left when you told us to go right not out of ignorance but out of blatant disobedience to you. Holy Spirit we love you. You are precious and sweet. Gentle and loving yet oh sooooooooooooo powerful! We ask you to clean up your home. Clean up these temples. Make yourself at home. We give our lives to you God. Clean us up however you see fit to do so God. Make us into a perfect reflection of You. And do it by any means necessary God. Yes the process may hurt. It may get uncomfortable at times. But God, NEVER THE LESS, let your PERFECT will be done and Holy Spirit strengthen us to endure. Give us that peace and that joy that only comes from KNOWING you God. We love You Father. And we consider all of these things to be done right now in the name of Jesus. So be it. (Amen)

Amen! Holy Spirit, move in power! I remember the first time I ever heard the Holy Spirit speak to me: I was asleep and suddenly wakened by "someone" who was centimeters from my ear -- "Clean house. You have company." I jumped up and looked around. Nobody. "Oh... it's You!" I was holding a broom in my hand, looking around for something to clean, but there was nothing. I'd cleaned to spotless that day. It took me a second, but then it dawned on me... "Oh, THAT house!" :::smile::: What a blessed article. I pray many more will read it and receive the revelation of the Holy Spirit's desire to reign in our lives.
