Psalms 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Delight by definition is a feeling of extreme pleasure or satisfaction.
Most of us, as beleivers, feel that by telling God how satisfied we are with him and how much we love Him -- along with doing good deeds from time to time will cause God to give us the desires of our heart. We APPEAR to be delighting ourselves in him. So when we don't get the desires of our heart, does that mean that God's word is not true? Allow me answer that question for you. No. God's word is 100% true. There are no errors in it. It is infallible.
So then, if God's word is true (and it is) then why is the Word of God not being made manifest in your life? Why are you not getting the desires of your heart?
I'm glad you asked. Here's the answer. This is a powerful revelation that, if acted upon, will GUARANTEE that you receive the desires of your heart.
I'm led to switch into the prophetic mode here...
Thus says the Lord,
If you will DE light yourself in Me, I will indeed give you the desires of your heart. For then your desires will be my desires. And My desires will be your desires. To DE light yourself in Me, you must turn off every light in the temple that illuminates you. You are not to be illuminated. Only I. There shall no longer be traces of you. You shall no longer be visible. But this only happens when you turn off the lights. DE light yourself. IN ME. When you turn off the lights that bring attention and glory to you and allow me with all of my radiance to shine forth through you, I will draw all men unto me. This is why you are here. I created you to DE light yourself in me. I have need of many lighthouses. But I only have need of one light. I am the light. The light of the World. It is my light that dispels darkness. It is my light. Your body is a temple unto me. It is a lighthouse. I don't need your light. Your light reaps corruption. The only light that needs to be shining forth through the lighthouse is mine. The light of My Spirit. Turn off the lights of your flesh. When you walk into a place, noone should see you. They should see me. I will shine through you, if you will allow me to. I will not force myself upon you. But I will tell you what pleases Me. It pleases me when others can look at you and see ME. There shall be no need for you to speak a word. My light will speak for itself. When you are De lighted in me, I can move powerfully on this earth. Your light gets in my way. Turn it off! When I see no more traces of you, you will be so wrapped up in me and so in love with me that my desires automatically become your desires. You will feel what I feel. You will see what I see. You will hear what I speak. And what I speak forth will begin to leap in your spirit. It will kick and kick and kick. Until finally you will birth out those desires that I have hidden deep within your innermost being.
End of Prophetic Mode.
Psalms 37:23-24 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
This scripture above lets me know that when you surrender your life completely to God, you will fall a few times. But you will not be utterly cast down. Why do you fall? Because you DE lighted yourself in HIS way. When you first start to DE light yourself in God, it can get dark sometimes. It seems like the light of God isn't shining forth and you fall down. Seems like He isn't talking to you like He should. He isn't telling you what steps to take next. Whether or not you're on the right path. All He says is Be still and know that He is God. Seems like God has turned off the lights and gone to sleep.
When we are in school, the teacher talks and teaches and teachs and talks until testing time. When testing time comes, the teacher is silent. They sit back in silence hoping that you will pass the test that you have just received. You might have questions during testing time, but the teacher won't answer them. They will make statements like "think about it" "you can do it" "take your time" "you know the answer" etc. etc... And sometimes they will do you a favor by allowing you to have an "open book" test.
When we make the decision to DE light ourselves in God, I can guarantee you that testing time will come. And thank God that all of the tests are "open book". There will be test to purify you. Test to purge you. God has to be absolutely, postively sure that you are completely DE lighted and that all traces of your flesh are removed. Once God is satisfied with your DE lightedness, it will be his pleasure to open up the windows of heaven and pour you out those blessings that you will not have room enough to receive.
I pray for the reader God that you will help them to DE light themselves in You. God it is our desire that you be glorified in every aspect of our lives. Help us Holy Spirit so that our motives are right. Help us Holy Spirit to turn the lights off of ourselves so that God's marvelous Light can radiate through us and IN us. And we know God that we we are DE lighted to your satisfaction, You will bless us beyond measure, so that we can in turn bless others. We consider it done right now in Jesus' name. Move Holy Spirit like only you can. So be it. (Amen)
