Are you prone to procrastination? As a remedy for putting things off until the last minute I was told to write the word, "procrastination" on a piece of paper, then ball the paper up and toss it into the garbage; never to procrastinate again. I thought it worth a shot, so I tried it. It didn't work. I still find myself putting things off, then stressing out at the last minute.
However, there is one thing that I didn't wait for the last minute to do, and that is receiving Jesus Christ as my Savior. It is written, "In the time of My favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you. I tell you, now is the time of God's favor and today is the day of salvation" (2 Corinthians 6:2).
Please don't put off for tomorrow what you can do today. If you have never received the forgiveness of sin that God grants us through His Son, Jesus Christ, pray these words from your heart:
"Dear God, I am a sinner in need of forgiveness. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God who died on the cross for my sin and that He rose from the grave defeating the powers of sin and death that holds me captive. I am willing to turn from sin and trust in the work that Jesus did. I now invite Jesus Christ to come into my heart as my personal Savior" Amen.
