GOD-TRACKING IS FACING LIFEíS TRIALS BY GODíS STRENGTH OF CHARACTER
The young couple had waited long to fall pregnant so when little Jim was born he was the apple of his dadís eye. All appeared well at Jimís birth. But sadly just 4 weeks after his birth baby Jim contracted a virus, which was initially diagnosed as mere conjunctivitis. As little Jimís temperature soared the young couple developed an uneasy feeling, so they sought further medical advice. With temperatures soring he was admitted into the childrenís ward of the local hospital. The medical staff did all they could to control the babyís rampant temperatures, but to no avail. The virus spread uncontrollably throughout his system until Jim was diagnosed with septicaemia. His little body just could not cope with the stress and Jim stopped breathing. An emergency crew was scrambled.
Dave, Jimís dad, had a faith in God but, filled with questions, his faith had diminished over his teenage years. In fact, he had hardened his heart so that even his wifeís conversion couldnít bring him back to the Lord. Dave was of the belief he could weather any storm life would throw at him by his own strength, that is, until this test. On that formidable night, when the emergency services were trying to resuscitate Jim, Dave forgot his stubborn ways and dropped his guard. He opened his heart and realised that no man could deal with such adversity without the strength of the Lord. Dave and Jimís mom prayed. He had never understood the power of prayer until then and, there in the darkest place he has ever been, Dave felt an unimaginable and supernatural peace. A confidence came over him. He knew Jim was going to be healed and he knew God was - and always had been - with him.
In Romans chapter 5 the Bible tells us that we ought to rejoice in our sufferings because suffering produces perseverance and perseverance produces character and hope. Hope will not disappoint us because this hope does not rely on our own natural character but on the nature of God that produces enduring strength within our characters. That is, if we face the hard knocks of life by Godís strength and not our own then he will develop enduring character within us. But this process would not happen if it were not for the difficulties of life that we all face from time to time.
Little Jim was resuscitated by the childrenís ward emergency team and rushed off to intensive care. His dad and the rest of the family prayed for his healing and, miraculously, Jim recovered within 24 hours, unheard-of given his state. Two miracles occurred that day. Not only was a little baby saved by the healing touch of God but a young dadís character was transformed by Godís grace and might.

What is trACker?
GodTracker and trACker owe their origins to an international Christian radio programme produced by Dudley Anderson called, OnTrack. Although OnTrack went off-air in 2005, trACker has continued to help people to track God's plans and purposes for their lives since July 2003.

ONLY IN YOU WILL I OVERCOME
ďDear God, Iím sorry for trying to deal with my trials in my own strength. I admit that I do not have what it takes to get through on my own. I call on your name now for strength, healing, provision and life. Help me to face all my difficulties with hope produced by your character in me. Only in you will I overcome. Jesus, you are my source and resource and I place my hope in you. Amen.Ē
