What if you awoke one morning, to the tune of where is everybody ? Mom's missing, sisters is missing and my closes friend, Jim, failed to show for school. Mass chaos and confusion seems to be everywhere. People are jumping out of building, for no cause. Wrecks all over the interstate ? And why all the air plane crashes ? Guess I'll tune in the local news and see what's happening. Maybe I should not have slept so late today. Everything just seems so weird today. Well, the news certainly wasn't any help. They are reporting that millions of people have disappeared, due to a strange foreign alien invasion, which I find it hard to believe. Even Mom's favorite Religion channel is off the air. It really is a strange feeling of defeat for me. Wait, here comes a news bulletin on TV. Why it's that funny dressed preacher, who has been on TV lately giving those famous lectures on the benefits and the morals of the "nursery rhymes". I don't believe him either. I'll just tune off all the news and see for myself. I'm not sure what happened to Mom and Sis, but knowing Jim. ,he's probably over at the mall passing out those silly little pamphlets about God, and all that stuff. And on and on it went, as James just continued to evaluated the situation for himself. Can you just imagine what it will be like, when all God's children are suddenly gone. Wrecks on the highways, planes falling from the skies, trains colliding, multitudes of people screaming and the like. It's going to be total disaster, here on earth. Not to mention the long term outcome. Property not being maintained, vehicles left abandoned in the streets, transportation wreckages to be cleaned up, due bills not being paid, food spoiling in the frig, etc. And all those politicians giving their explanations by soliciting the free press coverage. And how will the world governments explain this sudden mystery ? Well, that's where the anti-christ will probably come into play. One need only to follow the news media and the entertainment crowd to see that the world is now ripe for a lie.( 2 Thessalonians 2:9-10 ) A lie to make the world's population feel good and for them to be taken care of.( 2 Thessalonians 2:11) Along about the first of November each year, we start seeing signs that Christmas must be near, as the store decorations start showing up. We know by these displays, that Christmas is near but we also know that we must get over Thanksgiving before Christmas can happen. A similar allegory to this scenario is the prophet signs of the time. By this, I am referring to the rapture (catching away) of the church and the second coming of Jesus. There are many prophet signs, concerning the "second coming of Jesus" but there are no signs need be fulfilled before the rapture can occur. We know, however, that when these signs commence, such as the Thanksgiving scenario, the rapture is probably not far away, as the rapture occurs seven years before the return of Christ. And believe me, one need only watch the world's current events to see what I am talking about. The Bible gives us at least seven general signs of Christ's return. (Check them out in scripture) 1. Israel is Restore 2. Reunification of Europe 3. The Coming of the Antichrist 4. Rise of a World Religion 5. Rebuilding of 3rd Temple 6. Invasion of Israel from the North 7. Battle of Armageddon And we have a number of back up scriptures passages, concerning the "second coming of Jesus". (1 Corinthians 15:51-52) )1 Thessalonians 4:16-17) (Luke 21:28) (Revelation 22:12) (Revelation 21:6) (Revelation 22:20) During these seven years, between the Rapture and the Second Coming of Christ is the terrible times of the Tribulation period on earth. It is in this time period, that the "anti-christ", and his counter-part the "false profit" is known on earth. So, when will this Rapture miracle take place. To start with even the Son Himself does not know the time nor the hour. ( Matthew 24:36) And the scripture tells us that we should not pre-judge the timing or set dates. In fact, there are many scriptures that warn against date setting. ( Acts 1:7) (1 Thessalonians 5:1-2) I do, however, feel there may be one hint, with respect to the rapture, that many overlook. This hint is found in Romans 11:25. Many Bible scholars interrupt this passage to mean when the last Gentile is saved, according to God's plan, then the Rapture will occur. In fact, one preacher made the statement that every time he hears of a Gentile being saved, he shouts " Hallelujah" and starts looking to the sky. In fact , Dr Charles Ryrie makes this comment as a footnote, to this verse of scripture, in his study Bible. The fullness of the Gentiles, i.e., the full number of Gentiles who will be saved (Acts 15:14). After this, God will turn again to the Jews and will save "all Israel" at the Lords return. The central objective of this article is to prepare you for what's coming in the future, as a detailed account of the many prophetic events surrounding the "rapture' of the saints, will not be discussed. We don't actually know when the Rapture will happen. It may happen in our lifetime and it may not. In fact, it may occur before I finish this article. However, if you are a Child of the living God, and are ready to meet Him in the air, then what difference does the time and date mean? However, if you are unsaved and are not ready, then you should have a major concern. You see, an unsaved person is only a " hear beat" away from the judgment of God, anyway. Once death overtakes your earthly body, it's too late to ask forgiveness. ( Hebrews 9:27) Simply put, it's all a matter of you exercising "faith" in God's free "Grace" to redeem you of your sin, in which you were born. For you see, you will never get good enough, on your own, to be saved. And, you cannot earn your salvation. Nor, can you loves ones get it for you. ( Ephesians 2:8-9) Epilogue: Invitation and Warning 12 “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. 14 “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. 15 Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. 16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you[a] this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.” 17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life. 18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. 19 And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll. 20 He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. 21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen. ( Rev 22:12-21)
