Luke 6:43-45 For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good, and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil, for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
Galatians 5:16; 22-23 This I say then, walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Hosea 10:12-13 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord, till he come and rain righteousness upon you. Ye have plowed wickedness, ye have reaped iniquity; ye have eaten the fruit of lies: because thou didst trust in they way, in the multitude of thy mighty men.
A true Lady of Virtue has Jesus Christ dwelling in her heart and in her home. As a Lady of Virtue our desire needs to be to love God with her whole heart. The heart is the center of a person, which gives that person the direction she needs. The Bible asks us, “Who can find a virtuous woman?” Our goal is to be living answers to that question. Our walk with God is a matter of our hearts. We need to keep our hearts with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life.
I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments. (Psalm 119:7)
We will be judged by the fruits that we bear. As we clean out our hearts others will be able to see Christ in us. We need to allow God to search our hearts so that we can be like Him for He is pure. We cannot make ourselves look good in the eyes of men alone because God knows and looks at our hearts.
We need to plant the good seeds of the righteousness of God. When we plant these seeds we will reap the crop of the love of God. If we sow seeds to please our own wrong desires, we will be planting seeds of evil and we will reap a harvest of spiritual decay and death. If we plant the good things of the spirit, we will reap the everlasting life, which the Holy Spirit gives us. If we abide in God, He will abide in us. As we see God and make our hearts as gardens, the Holy Spirit controls our lives and will produce spiritual fruit. God is glorified when we bear the fruit of the spirit as our walk with Him becomes closer.
Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed thereto according to thy word. With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. (Psalm 119:9-10)
The Lord sees every heart and knows every thought. We need God to create pure thoughts in us and make us faithful to Him. The only way that He is going to make an impact on our lives is if we have our hearts set on Him. Ask God to wash you clean from all of the sin and guilt that is in you. We can have a clean heart and keep our ways pure by obeying the word of God. The teachings of God are so wonderful; we need to respect them all. Understanding the word of God brings light to the minds of ordinary people. We should have a desire to know everything the Bible can teach us.
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. (Psalm 119:11)
As we study the word of God, we should be diligent to present ourselves approved of God. The Bible was given to us by the inspiration of God and it is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and helps us to do what is right. As we continually think about the teachings of God, we are able to understand it them better. God will help us if we live in the way that the Lord instructs us. God is giving us the truth, it is up to us to obey him and he will bless us. The choice is yours – what will you choose?
I count it all joy to see these wonderful events take place. I was given the opportunity to be involved in this special ministry simply because I trusted in the Lord when I didn’t know where my next step would take me and I sought God’s will for my life. Because I purposed in my heart, I trusted in the Lord with all my heart; and leaned not unto my own understanding. In all my ways I acknowledged God, He directed my paths. God changed my testimony to reflect a reputation that would give Him honor and glory.
