The House Of God Specifically Speaking

The House of God, what do we refer to as the House of God? Is the house we are talking about a home? No, itís not meant to be our home. A home is a place of permanent abode for those who will live there and maintain it. The house we are talking about is the place God has sanctified for his use.

II Corinthians 5:1-2 for we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven.

We live in a body which is the house God made for his spiritual house to abide in that his work in creating the earth would be maintained and kept. God never intended for man to know himself after the flesh. We are Godís treasure in earthen vessels that the power may be of God and not of us. We in our flesh ran to things we were never to touch and changed the course of nature for man forever.

We were originals (genuine, authentic, the first) that inherited (acquired) all that God is; his character, we were unstudied, ingenuous, and tangible to God. We were as real as real can be in the earth uncompromised, God fearing (refusing to entertain the fruit of the forbidden tree, turning our eyes away from it, and taking another course away from it), and different from everything else that had been created. Our bodies were the temple of the Holy Ghost and must once again become a house that will not negotiate with sin and be in disobedience to God. Itís time we give ourselves wholly and totally to God as it was in the beginning knowing good and denying evil. Itís time we stop being trinkets (ornaments and decoration) in the House of God as well, to be seen of men and to please the flesh. We became nefarious, vile (depraved of the Heavenly oration of God, wretched in his sight, repulsive and disgusting), offensive and wicked (immoral, evil) through the deceptive work of Godís number one enemy.

This caused Solomon to tell us in Proverb 11:18 that the wicked worketh a deceitful work, but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward. Satan tricked us out of our pure, clean, chaste state through deception. Now our houses must be cleansed and garnished daily from the pollutants of sin. Jeremiah 17:9 the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it? How can we know we have left our first love? Be careful, vain words spoken causes us to listen, give ear, hear and obey the wrong things. With disobedience comes the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. I Peter 3:10 for he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile. Deceit is not a part of Godís house and our tongues should not be an instrument to be used to speak it. Deceit comes from the heart, is abhorred by God and is not a natural characteristic of the heart.

Paul in Hebrews 3:1-4 talks about Christ being more worthy than Moses. Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house. For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house. For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God. Paul first addresses the believers (those that has been converted in Christ, adherent to the Word, trust, accept, and think like Jesus) calling them holy (for God is holy) and partaking (having the character of Christ) that they were to give consideration that Jesus is not just a man (but the Son of God) He is the Ambassador, Messenger sent from God to testify and witness that God is God and that we too must testify to mankind concerning Him. We take on the same calling and declare the Gospel of Christ to build the Kingdom of God, increasing Heaven one soul at a time.

We must vow to be faithful in that we are reliable and dependable in the work of the Lord. We must be incorruptible not willing to stand in the way of sinners nor sit in the seat of the scornful by perverting the Gospel of Christ. Saints are scrupulous in that they are exact in what they except as true and factual concerning Christ. They are careful about what they follow, resolute. They stand firm and sure in their walk with Christ, unswerving and conscientious. They walk steadfastly toward God and allow themselves to be constructed after the formation of Christ. II Corinthians 5:1 for we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I, trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

God specifically says by the mouth of Paul to the Church of Christ in Hebrews 3:12-15 that we are to take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called to day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end. While it is said, today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. First things first! We must first after hearing the Word accept it as the Word of God. We must believe on the name of Jesus and reverence him as the Son of God for He is the Rock of our Salvation.

Specifically speaking manís natural house is not to continue to be deceived. I Corinthians 10:1-4 moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; and were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud, and in the sea; and did all eat the same spiritual meat; and did all drink the same spiritual drink; for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them; and that Rock was Christ. We are to follow on after we have been delivered from sin to come to know Christ in a more significant way than we know man after our own likeness.

God sent man time and time again to set manís priorities in order but time and time again they were rejected by Godís people. Then God sent them his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh that they would reverence him but they did not. He came and taught them how that they ought to serve God; the true and living God. They instead got together and said let us kill him, for he has our inheritance. They didnít know that their inheritance was after the Spirit and not the flesh.

He was the stone that the builders rejected and He is that same Jesus that is become the Head of the corner, the Chief Priest of the soul of man. This is the Lordís doing and how marvelous it should be in our eyes. We could lose the Kingdom of God if we donít strive to enter in at the straight gate. We will be as many others that will seek to enter into heaven and shall not be able to because of their unbelief. When the Master has risen up and shut the door we will stand without and knock at the door but it shall not be opened to us. There is a specific way that we must enter in. God is precise in his Word that we are to be a peculiar people unto him, distinct, unlike any other, and particular about how we live in this world. We are to live Godly in this world unto God through Christ with the help of the Holy Ghost. He have stipulated that we designate his Son as Christ as the head of our lives. Our lives are to be defined by the Word which was in the beginning and which now is that enter into our hearts through the hearing thereof. We are to name the name of Christ in prayer and ask in the name of Jesus this or that and God will hear and answer our prayer according to his Word.
