Motherís Day is around the corner. The second Sunday of May is observed in most of the countries as the Motherís Day. Moms are honored with colorful bouquet, greeting cards, delicious dinners and memorable mementoes. Although Motherís Day has lost its real essence in the modern commercial and consumerist world, momís role in the society is still vital and enlightening. She enlightens every life.
Mom is the light of every life
Mother is the light of every life. Life has changed very much today. Gender roles have undergone so many changes throughout these centuries. But mom remains the same. Families have become nuclear sized, having cut off the number of family members and relationships. But a mom is still remaining as the symbol of live and sacrifice. She enlightens her children through her love and sacrifice. She feeds the child in her womb for nearly 10 months. She feeds the dreams of the child even in her womb. She feeds the child after birth with her red blood that is changed into white milk. She makes every possible sacrifice for the welfare of her child.
Mom the light of a child
A mom cradles the child in her womb until he or she is ready to face the world. She cradles him/her in her hands after the birth. Mom is the only light in infancy. She teaches words enables the child to speak. Momís words are the first lights of knowledge that a child sees and comprehends.
It is mom who introduces the Divine Light. It is through the mom that a child learns about the Divine Word. Once the child is able to understand the Divine Word, it is more and more enlightened by the light of the Word. It is the mom who teaches the child the value of love and sacrifice.
The Word, enlightenment and a mom
The Word is enlightenment. It is life. The Divine Word became flesh and dwelt among humans. Word gives us life. It changes our lives. It teaches us the way of love and sacrifice. Through the Word God shares His great Love with humanity. The same love is shared with all.
A mom brings life on this earth. She enlightens the future generations. A mom is the personification of love and sacrifice. The Creator of life makes a mom take part in His continued work of creation. The creator send the child that can transform hearts with love and patience. He sends us the Word that can transform our souls with faith, peace and joy that we can never experience with the earthly means.
