Being set free from emotional bondage
Beautiful women of God, I know what it is like to walk in emotional bondage. Emotional bondage keeps you from expressing the love you have for those you care for, emotional bondage separates you from the fullness of God’s love for you, emotional bondage keeps you in fear from walking in God’s faith. I want to share my healing testimony of being set free from emotional bondage. I had a brick wall surrounding me for many years protecting my emotions from pain and past and present wounds. I thought it was ok because I did not dwell in the pain and hurt I felt emotionally. As my intimacy with God grows and I walk daily with God, this wall is a hindrance that keeps me from walking in God’s perfect love, “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that fearth is not made perfect in love” (1 John 4:18).
I began to pray in the spirit, “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God” (Jude 1: 20-21).
Beautiful women of God, when we pray not only do we pray with our earthly language, but we pray with our spiritual language in order for our faith to increase and allow God to builds us up. As I am praying in the spirit, tears began to flow and I could see myself in battle, knocking down the wall brick by brick with my hands. One of the things God had revealed was I was the one who had surrounded myself with this wall by speaking it into existence, “I remember saying years ago, my emotions are surrounded by a brick wall that protects me from getting hurt emotionally”. We have to be careful what we speak, the tongue is a dangerous weapon, and we have to keep our mouths and lips lined up with the word of God. We do this by reading God’s word daily and praying in the spirit (Jude 1:20).
I want to go to the Book of Esther; I love the book of Esther because it is so encouraging for women. Queen Esther was a woman God had prepared to do his perfect will. Just as God prepared Queen Esther, he will prepare you and I to serve in his kingdom by walking in his perfect will. Queen Esther went through a purification or cleansing process which included, “six months with oil myrrh, and six months with sweet odours, and other things for the purifying of the women” (Esther 2:12). This purification process includes healing physically, emotionally, and mentally. With God’s healing, we are being set free from the imperfections by allowing God to perfect us inside and out, “Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined” (Psalm 50:2).
I teach Mary Kay skin care classes by utilizing Mary Kay’s philosophy of God first, family second, and career third. I also teach about having inner beauty by allowing God to be the leading man in your life. Inner beauty is the peace of God that allows you to love yourself inside and out as well as loving God because he is your creator and God created you for a purpose.
Beautiful women of God, you can email me at BeautifulYouInside@marykay.com or visit my website at www.marykay.com/BeautifulYouInside. I felt led to share this with someone who may be struggling with emotional bondage. Allow God to heal you emotionally by surrounding yourself in the love of God.
God Bless you and keep you, Beautiful women of God!
