“Watch What You Say” by Janice Wappel
Proverbs 6:2 tells us we are snared with the words of our lips, we are caught by the speech of our mouth.
Thought for today: I heard an echo of my voice a reverberation from long ago an imitation and reflection, a likeness of myself. I heard an echo of her voice, a miniature of me. I heard the imitation and reflection a repetition that made me blush.
Prayer: Dear Lord, please forgive me for being hasty, rude and even difficult with my children. I pray I will slow down, and think before I speak. I pray I will become a better example to them and others by showing your love and grace in my words and actions. Teach me how to speak gently and lovingly, reminding me that my children are a reflection of me.
