In a world that lives on the brink
Prayers of a wife can be heard
As she prays for her husband's safe return
Cradled by the softness of her baby boy tears,
As he crys out for his daddy's arms
Arms he longs to touch and a heart he wishes to hear
Will there by joy for the wife that has cried out
in the midnight hour?
For her husband to return safely to her loving bosom
A helicopter of soldiers crashed today
The wife cradles her baby boy to her heart so dear
Waiting hopelessly for the words to hear
Cropped with fear, yet not giving up hope
That her husband was not one of those on the rope
At last the words come,
As the names of the soldiers are called out one by one!
