“Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” John 7:37-38 New International Version
The living water is of course is the Holy Spirit.
Just as a tree needs water to grow so too do we need the Holy Spirit to grow spiritually. Just as a tree does not stand there for no purpose, neither are we to expect to receive the Holy Spirit to fill us and do nothing with what He has given us.
Just as a tree gives shade to animals during the heat of the day, so too are we to give strength and encouragement to those going through fiery trials.
Just as the branches of the tree offers protection from winters wind cold sting so too are we to give protection and comfort from those whose hearts are suffering the coldness of loss whether it be a loved one lost, a lost job or any other loss.
Just as the trees branches are used as nests for the young birds to grow strong so too are we to be places where young believers will find a safe, encouraging place to grow in Christ.
How is your tree doing these days?
Prayer: Please Jehovah Elohim(God our creator) create in me a tree that will serve both You, fellow believers and unbelievers alike to Your glory. I request this in the name of He who provides me with His astounding living waters Jesus Christ. Amen
May you be blessed with Gods divine love, peace and joy.
