Superficial Man

He was a superficial man.
He knew the right folks.
He told the right jokes.
So dashing and dapper,
Quite the back slapper.

He was a superficial man.
He went to the right church.
Sat tall in his perch.
So pious and clean,
And glad to be seen.

He was a superficial man.
He married the right wife.
Had such a grand life.
Prayed right out loud,
To an admiring crowd.

He was a superficial man.
He died once spring day.
The band came to play.
The pretty people said.
Twas a pity that he's dead.

He was a superficial man.
He stood before the Lord.
Expecting great reward.
How SAD was his lot.
God said, "I know you NOT."

If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven? You can be! TRUST JESUS NOW
