The television comes on, almost everything on is about murder. The shows are mostly about murder, the news, the talk shows and even the cartoons. Do anyone realize the pain associated with murder. I can only imagine the pain and hurt in Godís heart he feels toward man. God created and made man. How could they kill one another? Cain was the first murderer. He killed his brother Abel because Abel gave God a greater sacrifice than his brother Cain.
Murder means a life has been taken by homicide, carnage, slaying or butchery. Some human life has been slain. One may be killed or assassinated. However murder happen itís not right. No one is or has the authority to take life for we didnít give life; it is God. To kill means to slay, slaughter, finish, execute or massacre. A killer is a murderer, gangster, assassin, or cutthroat. Who would want to be associated with any of these titles? Is there any justice for the families of these victims? Does the pain ever stop? No. Every time I hear or see something has happened to someoneís child, husband, or wife, it hurts. Not only does the family of the victim hurt but the family of the one that has hurt or murdered someone.
As I spoke to a couple of boys today that was running with a gun on their person for protection I cried because they didnít want to hear me or stop long enough for me to talk some sense in them. I tried to get them to tell me what was going on and my husband told them about going to Camp J at Angola. They had others that were pushing up the mess. Their telephone rang, someone was passing on mess and they left. I prayed for their parents, for them, this community, city, state, nation and world. Murder is never right and no one wins. Their state of mind never had a chance to be calmed with others pushing it on. This world is sick. It started with Cain and should have ended with Jesus. Later my husband said to me to hurt me ďwhy donít you just do me like Darlene did your sonĒ! I said ďmurder is not an option that rest in no manís hands and I have work to do for God; I am not getting blood on my hands for nobody, not even you. I donít love no man that much that I will take their life. I gave birth to six sons and I raised men not boysĒ.
Later on that night saw two boys in the store and heard them talking about killing another boy and making his mama suffer hurt the rest of her life. I told him ďboy first pull your pants up and stop talking so foolishly; if you kill someone not only will his mama hurt but your mother will too! Murder is not an option and you donít give life to take it. Nobodyís blood should be on your hands. Everybody you love and love you will be hurt by your actionsĒ. He looked at me like he wanted to say something disrespectful but this man said ďshe is right; shut upĒ. What a two days this has been and I know itís been happening all over the world. We have to pray against that spirit of murder. Satan tried to murder God in heaven with backbiting. He had some listeners and they were kicked out too when they found that God is not to be unseated; HE is GOD! Murder takes one off their feet but it also makes their seat vacant in the earth. Satan is the origin of murder and not murder only but all disobedience to God. Itís his job to still try to take God out.
The sixth Commandment, Exodus 20:13 thou shall not kill. We have a duty not only to God but to man to preserve life. This commandment is one of the oldest criminal statutes of the race and the most elementary. The aim of this sixth Commandment as well as seven, eight, and nine are to protect the rights of mankind. The sixth Commandment thou shall not kill teaches the sacredness (a right) of life. Murder was an everyday occurrence in ancient times but the worth of life came into being through Israel. Murder leaves blood crying from the grave to the one that commits it. A man in prison once told me that he had been in prison fifteen years for manslaughter for killing his wife. He said he didnít go to bed one night without thinking about what he did although it was a mistake. In ancient times the worshippers of Jehovah in the Temple came into the Temple, their hands dripping with human blood.
Thou shall not kill gave a new conception of the sacredness of human life. By it life was made safe. Murder is birth out of envy, jealousy, strife, backbiting and insecurity. Itís a time of repentance; man saved and unsaved. In this time and season men are lovers of themselves; this is a love where they are selfish, thinks only of themselves and their wants. They are deceived and think they are alright. They donít want the responsibility that comes with them being men; real men. Will the real man stand up! When we cause God pain, we suffer pain. When we are in pain God is in pain too! We canít suppose that someone is guilty of something because they suffer some things. God wants us to know the spirits that operate in and around us that we may pray and rebuke the spirit but we waste so much time rebuking the person when we really donít understand that what they are suffering is not because of personal sin but for learning. Because I cut my foot does that mean your foot must be cut also? No! Jesus said thought that except we repent we shall all likewise perish.
What we plant seed in we will find fruit, either much or little or none. Some things we seek fruit on will never come. Many times we seek justice for our loved ones but it may never come, but God knows all things. Does it hurt in your heart? Yes but we learn to accept what God allows. I have cried for many years because of the pain of murder to my loved ones. Itís just the grace of God that I am still living. I sometime hurt so bad, I want to ask God ďwhy did you leave me here to suffer so much painĒ; but I have learned not to question God. God donít cause our pain; itís that bald face ugly stinking devil! God is not the author of confusion, but of peace. Godís peace surpasses all understanding. Even in despair God will allow fruit to grow or we will take things in our own hands and cut down the fruit. Be mindful that all of our actions affect every one we love. Murder is an infirmity that only God can heal.
Luke 13:11-13 there was a woman that had an infirmity eighteen years and was bowed together and could in no wise lift herself up. When Jesus saw her he called her to him and said unto her Woman thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And he laid his hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. We must leave things in Godís hands for this is where our peace lies. Just like Jesus whatever we do or say will offend in one way or the other but we canít allow it to deter us from what God has called us to. We must know just like Jesus did the Word; for Satan also know the Word and uses it as we should.
Abel gave a greater sacrifice than Cain and Cain was envious and jealous of the sacrifice, killing Abel. Abelís blood still cries out against Cain and anyone that commits such will never have peace. The murderers of my four family members have blood against them. They will be crippled in life just like that woman Jesus set free that day. Except Jesus set them free Satan have robbed them of their peace, joy and righteousness. Peopleís real feelings come out when we walk in our purpose. This is spiritual warfare and we cannot do it within ourselves. That murderous spirit is recognizable when you have been presented with it; otherwise we never think about it to pray against it. The vanity of man has increased in the earth and with it comes insecurity and every evil work.
We are to love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life, is not of the Father but is of the world. The world passes away and the lust thereof, but he that does the will of God abides forever. We can be those that abide forever, consider our ways. Murder in any aspect is not right. Tearing down each other in word or deed is murder if the truth is not told. A lie is a whole lie or one covered up with a little truth. Itís of the Devil. He that sow seeds of discord is hated by God; not the soul but the sin.
Itís time to put away all the swelling words, recognize the spirits operating in this world and do what God has called us to; amen.
