There is only so much work you can do in a day.
When you are at work and do you best.
When your day is over, refuse to take your work home with you. Your boss does not pay you for it so why do it?
If you are a parent when you get home then your next job begins, that of being a good husband or wife and a good father or mother. Then it is family time. Do not waste it sitting in front of the idiot box like brainless zombies. Why not play board games. Yes they are old fashioned, but they are still fun. Why not go for a walk with the family after dinner.
It is the same for your weekends.
They are your time and your families time not your bosses and yes take time to rest one day every week.
There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God, for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. Hebrews 4:9-10 13 New International Version
Just think if everybody started to do that, we could have a lot less unemployment because the company would have to hire more people, less health care issues and a lot less problems in marriages and families.
Prayer: Thank you Yahweh Sabbath (The Lord of the heavens) for giving us rest time. Just as You rested on the Sabbath to give us an example may we be wise enough to follow Your wise example. I give thanks and ask for this guidance through He who frequently took His disciples aside for rest Jesus Christ. Amen.
May the sweet sunshine of Jesus' precious love bless you today and every day.
