When I was a boy we used to get the Wish Book delivered to use every year about the time it came to buy Christmas presents. All the glossy photos to entice us to buy this and that and we will be happy.
What do you see on the idiot box (the TV) and the internet all the time?
Buy this product and you will have a fantastic body or will be popular.
How many people are dumb enough to fall for this con and go deep into dept in the process. Meanwhile, you haven’t even paid for what you went in debt for and they come out with a new and improved product that you must have to be happy. It is the same product with a few things added that are not important.
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10 New International Version
When we have a loving relationship with Jesus we have all we need. He has promised to supply us with everything we need and Jesus never goes back on His promises.
More important we have a spiritual wealth that makes the material wealth look like useless junk (which most of it is).
Living in the material world kills the soul. Men and women are miserable from being its slave and working ourselves into exhaustion to pay for the things we need to buy.
The material world is the poison that many are more addicted to than a heroin addict.
Being addicted to Jesus brings us fulfillment, purpose, joy, love and peace. Once we have it we are in constant need of it like a starving man is in need of food.
Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Jireh (God our provider) for blessing me with a never ending supply of Your precious divine love. I give thanks in the name of our loving savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
