Jerry And Kathy Were Two Happy Christians In The Lord. They Knew That Jesus Had Saved Them And That Love Conquers All (1 Corinthians 13:7-8; Romans 8:37; 1 John 4:8; John 3:16). They Shared A Christian Ministry Based On Jesus' (God's) Love And Heaven's Eternity. They Regularly Utilized Music And Celebrating Praise To Motivate Others To Come To The Lord. Jerry And Kathy Both Felt That Any Biblical Word Honoring God Was A Good Word. They Felt That It Would Be Love Not Knowledge That Gain Heavenly Entrance (1 Corinthians 13:1-2; John 13:33-35; John 3:16; 1 John 4:8).
Were Jerry And Kathy Correct? Should Christians Focus More On "Love" And Not Biblical Accuracy And Biblical Direction?
Love Is Definitely Essential To Our Pleasing God. In Fact Love Of God Then Love Of Neighbor Fulfills The Entire Mosaic Law (Matthew 22:36-40). With Out Love No One Will Enter Heaven. The Bible Says That Love And Forgivenes Are Synonymous (John 13:33-35; John 15:10-15; 1 John 2:8-12; 1 Peter 4:8; Matthew 6:14-15).
Most People Accept That "Love Conquers All". In Fact Many Christians Use This Love To Justify Satisfying The Flesh (Galatians 5:13-14; Galatians 5:1-26).
Let's Talk About The Music That Jerry And Kathy Utilize At Their Worship Services And In Their Personal Lives. Most Of This Music Is Modernized "Christian" Music. To Better Explain This Music It Is Basically Non Christian Music With Christian Lyrics Set To The Music. To Better Explain These Christians Are Still "In The World" But Have Just Brought The World's Music Into Their Christian Faith.
The Bible Makes Perfectly Clear That Christians Are To Be Led By The Holy Spirit And Totally (Fully) Strip Off The Ways Of This World. In Fact God Told His Earthly Servants To Totally "Destroy" The Ways Of The "Worldly" People Around Them And To Not Be Like The World. The Holy Spirit Will Help Obedient Christians Be Holy As God Is Holy (Sanctified). Jesus Made Perfectly Clear That He And His Followers Were No Part Of This World.
This World, It's Music And Its Ways Are Under The Influence Of Satan The Devil-Dragon. God Made Perfectly Clear That He Would Judge And Discipline (Punish) Any Who Did Not Reject The World And Obey Him. To Obey God's Word Is To Be Holy (Deuteronomy 7:1-6; Deuteronomy 8:1-20; John 17:14-17; John 18:36-37; John 16:11-14, 20-21, 33; Matthew 4:1-11; Luke 4:1-12; 2 Corinthians 4:4; 1 John 2:15-17; John 14:26; John 6:63; 2 Peter 1:20-21; 1 Corinthians 6:9-13; Galatians 5:1-26; Matthew 25:1-12; Matthew 7:13-29; John 15:10-15)).
If You Have Prayerfully And Unselfishly Studied The Above Scriptures With The Material You Have Learned That Love Is Essential To Our Christian Walk. Yet We Should Never Utilized This Love To Make Decisions Not Backed By God's Holy Spirit. Jesus Sent God's Holy Spirit To Lead All "Born Again" Christians. A "Born Again" Christian Is No Longer Led Or Motivated By Anything Of This World. A "Born Again" Christian Seeks Jesus (God) Through Holy Spirit, Prayer, Bible Study, Praise, Thanks, Worship And Godly Change (John 3:1-8, John 3:9-14; John 14:26; John 16:11-14; Galatians 5:1-26; 1 Corinthians 6:9-13).
If We Are Being Honest With God And Ourselves We Can No Longer Hide Behind The "As Long As I Have Love And Praise The Lord" No One Can Correct Or "Judge" Me Excuse.
Saul Disobeyed God And Attempted To Praise (Sacrifice) With His Disobedience. This Caused God To Reject Saul Out Of His Kingdom. The Same Thing Will Happen To Any Christian Who Doesnot Humble Themselves And Obey Jesus (1 Samuel 15:18-35; Matthew 25:1-12; Matthew 7:13-29; Matthew 25:13-44; John 15:10-15).
So Now That We Christians Know That God's Bible Word Leads Us And We Do Not Lead God's Holy Spirit Directed Word What Do We Do (Psalm 119:105; John 14:26; 2 Peter 1:20-21; John 16:11-14; Matthew 25:1-12)?
Satan Is A Liar And He Wants You Using "Spritual" Armor That Diverts You From Godly Obedience. Godly Obedience Is Synonymous With Heaven's Entry. Any Form Of Unrepentant Disobedience Can Lead To Eternal Hell Fire (Galatians 5:9; John 15:10-15; John 8:44; Matthew 25:1-12; Matthew 7:13-29; 1 John 2:15-17).
So Please Be Sure That The Holy Bible You Are Using Is Truly The "Word Of God".
I Am Well Aware Of The So Called, "Error(s)" In The Authorized King James (1611 AD) Version. I Am Also Aware Of The Life Styles Of King James And Other Translation Contributors. However I Am Also Aware Of The Fact That God Has His Own Definitions For His Words. To Change Those Words Or "Modernize" Will Lose God's Prophecies In His Words. So To Answer The Initial Question It Is Wonderful That Jerry And Kathy Have Such A Wonderul, Loving Christian Ministry. Yet If They Want To Please God They Have To Humble Themselves, Repent And Allow God's Holy Spirit And A God Approved Bible To Lead Them (Acts 8:26-40; John 15:10-15; John 1:1; Hebrews 4:11-12).
Please Prayerfully Ensure That The Bible You Use And The Way You Relate To God Is A Way That He Approves. Satan Is A Liar And Any Who Don't Obey God Will Be Rejected By Jesus Christ. Heaven's Eternity Has Nothing To Do With Our "Hearts (Desires, Emotions, Lusts)" But Has Everything To Do With Obeying God's Word (Jeremiah 17:9-10; 1 Samuel 15:1-35; John 15:10-15; John 1:1; 1 John 2:15-17; John 8:44; Ephesians 6:10-18; Hebrews 4:12).
