Treasure Hunters

Not only pirates hunt for hidden treasure but believers as well. Each time we open a Bible we are following a treasure map. We may be searching for comfort or knowledge, strength or discernment. Suddenly, as if x marks the spot, we find treasure in a passage. We wish we could make naysayers believe the treasures God’s word contains.

“My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge (Colossians 2:2-3 NIV).” Look unto Jesus; he is the exceedingly great treasure.
