When I First Became "Saved" In Jesus Christ I Began Seeking A Church. I Finally Attended A Bible Study Where A Retired Military Sergeant Conducted. He Was A Very Bold And Heavy Set Man. Our Bible Study Arrived At Matthew Chapter 19. He Read The Portion Concerning Divorce, Defiantly Folded Both His Arms Over His Bold Chest And Stated, "I Don't Believe That. I've Been Divorced. In This Day And Time The World Is Filled With Divorced People. God Isn't Going To Send That Many People To Hell!"
Apparently This Bible Study "Conductor" Never Read Matthew 7:13-29. Yes The Road To Damnation (Hell) Is Broad. And Yes God Will Send Many There If They Unrepentantly Disobey Him (John 15:10-15; Exodus 20:1-6, 21).
So Yes If You Or I Am An Unrepentant Sinner God Will Send Us To Hell (Matthew 5:22-30; Matthew 10:28; Matthew 16:18; Matthew 19:9; Matthew 23:15, 33-39; Luke 6:46; John 15:10-15; Matthew 7:13-29).
Let's Prayerfully Examine What God Says About Marital Divorce In His Holy Word. Please Personally Take A Moment To Pray.
This Article Will Use The Authorized King James Bible Version.
Turn Your Bibles To And Read Genesis 2:21-24. God Performed The First Wedding And Marriage With The Implication Of Permancy. The Word "Cleave" Implies Permancy.
Please Now Turn Your Bibles To And Read Malachi 2:13-17. In Those Verses God Himself Angrily Explained That He Had Stopped Blessing His Followers For Several Reasons. One Of Those Reasons Was The "Putting Away (Divorcing)" Of One's Marriage Mate. God Re Iterated That This Was A Permanent Institution.
Please Turn Your Bibles To And Read Matthew 19:1-12. Ironically As It Is Today It Was God Appointed Religious Leaders Who Attempted To Legitimize Marital Divorce. These Priest Attempted To Say That Moses Approved Marital Divorce.
Jesus Christ Corrected These Men And Told Them That The Only God Approved Reason For A Divorce Was Infidelity. As Far As Jesus (God) Was Concerned Married Couples Were Married Unto Death And Any "Connections (Infidelities)" With Anyone Else Would Forbid Them From Heaven And Subject Them To Hell (Galatians 5:1-26; 1 Corinthians 6:9-13) Jesus Knew That God's Salvation Plan Was The Ultimate Answer.
There Are Many Christians Who Believe That Jesus' Blood Will Cover Over A Divorce.
This Is Not True. Please Turn Your Bibles To And Read Hebrews 13:4. Keep In Mind That The Apostle Paul Was The "Biggest" Supporter For God's Amazing Grace. Yet Paul Re Iterated That The Marital Arrangement Is Not To Be Broken Or Defiled.
So If You Or I Have Experienced A Marital Divorce For Any Other Reason Than Adultery (Infidelity) Then We Are Sinners Worthy Of Hell.
It's Essential That We Confess This Sin And Don' t Justify It. In God's Judgment It Doesn't Matter What Led To The Divorce Or Who Divorced Who. BOTH Individuals Are In Sin And Subject To Hell. Please Be Sure To Re Read Matthew 19:1-12. BOTH Divorcees Are In Sin And Subject To Hell. Anyone Who Connects (Infidelity) With Either Of Them Will Also Be Subjects For Hell.
To Assume That Jesus' Blood Would Cover Such A Sin Is Unwise. Both God And Jesus Personally Spoke And Made Perfectly Clear That Only Death Or Infidelity Could End A Marriage Convenant.
The Bible Does Tell Us That God Is Merciful And Won't Stay Ever Mad. He Is Willing To Forgive A Sincere Repentant Person(s). Prayerfully Read Psalm 103:1-22.
Such A Sinner Must Sincerely "Walk In God's Spirit To Enter Heaven" If This Website Allows I Will Place The Bible Link Which Explains How To Walk In Spirit And Enter Heaven". If This Website Does Not Allow Links You Can Research This Article Online.
You Must Accept And Realize That You Are In Sin And The Above Way Is The ONLY Way The Bible Allows For Re Connection With God.
I Must Add If You Were A Certain Way Before You Became Saved With Jesus Christ Then This Information Does Not Apply. The Apostle Paul Counsels And The Bible Says That We Became New "Creatures" When We Became "Saved" In Jesus Christ. It Would Be Unwise To Try To "Fix" Problems Such As These That We Commited Before Entering A Christian Covenant With God ( 2 Timothy 1:7).
If You Were A Christians When This Divorce Occurs Then God Expects You To Repent From The Heart And "Walk In The Spirit" From Then On To Enter Heaven. Any Person Who Takes A Non Biblical Attitude Toward Divorce And Marriage And Does Not Repent Will Not Enter Heaven. They Will Face God's Eternal Judgment. Especially In This Matter Christians Can Not Imitate The World (Galatians 5:1-26; 1 John 2:15-17; 1 Corinthians 6:9-13; Matthew 19:1-22).
We Christians Can Be Exuberant Over God's Love And Mercies! However In Cases Of Marriage And Divorce We Must Be Very Careful Not To Displease God. This Is Why "Walking In The Spirit" Is Essential For Christians If We Are To Enter Heaven And Avoid Tribulation(s) And Hell's Eternity.
