Do not fret because of those who are evil or be envious of those who do wrong; for like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away. Psalm 37:1-2 New International Version
Now what does this mean?
We all die right?
I believe it is talking about a spiritual death.
Just as grass does not die overnight, neither does the spirit of the wicked.
The Holy Spirit will convict them of their wrong doing.
They stubbornly refuse to listen.
Over time the joy is taken out of their life until they become miserable.
From my observation it usually begins to wither away at forty and slowly progresses until they reach sixty. Then they are miserable sods who if they smiled their face would shatter like a broken mirror. Even then, they still know there is time to repent but stubbornly refuse all the way into hell.
Prayer: Oh my beloved Abba how it breaks Your precious heart to watch stubborn children refuse to obey Your wise guidance. I know it beaks my heart so I can only imagine how much more it breaks Yours. I want to imagine hugging You in comfort and saying: :It is alright my beloved. I love You.” I say this in the name of He who cried for the lost on a cross Jesus Christ. Amen.
May the sweet sunshine of Jesus' precious love bless you today and every day.
