“If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’ If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector. Matthew 18:15-17 New International Version
If you become a member of a fitness club and that you must present a card before you can use the equipment, you must present that card before you can use it. If you go there without the card you are not getting in.
So too it is with relationships. If someone abuses you, yes you are to forgive them. But, they must repent. This means they must apologize for what they did and stop the abuse. That is their card. If they do not then it means they are not sorry and the abuse only gets worse.
Take along a friend the next time and then ask to go to a trusted councilor if they will not listen to you.
If they refuse to repent then stay away from them because they are nothing but trouble and heartache.
Prayer: Jesus my Rabbi (Jesus my teacher) please teach me how to resolve any conflicts in my life. If the offender refuses to repent, please give me the strength and resources to get away from these devils. I ask in Your wise and mighty name. Amen.
May the sweet sunshine of Jesus' precious love bless you today and every day.
