My God, my God. Why have you NOT forsaken me?
Is your love greater than my failure?
Of your mercy can I compare?
Have I not fallen beyond redemption?
Do you really care?
Have you poured out grace, abundantly?
Have you called me to your throne?
Am I truly justified..
Through Jesus Christ alone?
Was even one found worthy,
When You sent your Son to die?
Or did love alone compel you,
When our king was crucified?
Was I really worth the trouble?
Endless scars that bare my name.
Was I worth the pain you suffered?
Am I the reason that you came?
I stand in awe of your wonderous love
Forever thankful, I will be
Grateful beyond measure
That You have NOT, forsaken me.
