1 Peter 4 Tribulation Suffering Will Purge The Priests From Christians

In 1 Peter 4 Peter Continues Prophecising How The Great Tribulation Will Remove Anti Christ Priest From Jesus' Congregation Of Christians.

Please Be Sure To Read Our Bible Study Series On 1 Peter 1, 2 And 3 First Before Reading Our Study On 1 Peter 4. Otherwise You Won't Understand This Article. Also If We've Previously Supplied Bible Scriptural Support For The Words In 1 Peter 4 We Won't Repeat The Explanation In This Study. Prayerfully Refer Back To Our Bible Study Series On 1 Peter 1, 2 and 3.

Prayerfully Turn Your Authorized King James Bible Versions To 1 Peter 4:1

1 Peter 4:1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

Suffering In The Flesh Causes Ceasing From Sin-God Brings About The Great Tribulation To Purge Ungodliness (Sin-Flesh-Galatians 5:1-26) From His Disobedient Servants.

Same Mind- Oneness With God (John 17:17-21; 1 John 3:2; Deuteronomy 6:4).

Like- God's Likness-God Oneness-Partakers Of Divine Nature (2 Peter 1:4; Genesis 1:26-27; 1 John 3:2; John 17:17-21).

1 Peter 4:2 That he no longer should live the rest of [his] time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

Lust Of Men-Please Review Our Bible Studies On The 1st And 2nd Books Of Timothy. We've Biblically Explained That This "Lust (Flesh)" Is The Priestly (Law Keeping) Class And Its Fleshly Jezebel (AntiChrist) Sin(s). The "Law" Is Flesh. In Order To Enter Heaven (God's Rest) One Must Be Spirit (Matthew 25:1-39; Hebrews 3:1-18; John 4:24; John 3:1-8; 2 Corinthians 3:1-17; Romans 10:4).

1 Peter 4:3 For the time past of [our] life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:

Time Past Is The Same As "Old Time(s)"-We've Already Explained This Bible Definition In Our Bible Study Series On 1 Peter 3.

Wrought Of The Gentiles-This Is The Appointed Time Of The Gentiles Where God Allows The Beast And His Kingdom To Stamp Disobedient Servants Of God Until They Cry Out For Jesus Christ To Save Them. This Is The Work (Wrought) Of Iniquity (Daniel 7:25; Luke 21:20-24; Matthew 23:37-39; Revelation 13:1-18; Revelation 12:1-16; Matthew 25:1-44; Matthew 7:13-29).

Suffice- God's Grace Is Sufficient And Moses Law Has Been Fulfilled In Jesus's Blood And Death (Romans 10:4; Matthew 5:17; 2 Corinthians 3:1-17).

Abominable Idolatries- This Is The Priest Class Which Steals God's Worship And Gives It To The Flesh And Idol Worship. We Biblically Explained This In Our Bible Study Series On 1st And 2nd Timothy And 1st Peter 1, 2 And 3.

1 Peter 4:4 Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with [them] to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of [you]: 1 Peter 4:5 Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead. 1 Peter 4:6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

Strange-The Bible "Stranger" And "Alien" Are Those Who God Casts "Without" Heaven's Temple When The Great Tribulation Begins. God Judges Them For Their "Evil Conversation" Which Is Adherance To The Law(s) Of Moses.

We Already Explained God's Judgment, The Quickening And The Dead In Our 1 Peter Chapter 3 Study.

1 Peter 4:7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

We Biblically Explained This In Our Bible Study Series On 1st And 2nd Timothy And 1st Peter 1, 2 And 3. Please Refer To Those Studies For The Full Information.

1 Peter 4:8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:9 Use hospitality one to another without grudging. 1 Peter 4:10 As every man hath received the gift, [even so] minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

Christian Love "Fulfills" Christ's Commandments (John 13:33-35).

1 Peter 4:11 If any man speak, [let him speak] as the oracles of God; if any man minister, [let him do it] as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Once Again Peter Hails Jesus Christ As Supreme King Worthy Of Praise And Obedience.

1 Peter 4:12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: 1 Peter 4:13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. 1 Peter 4:14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy [are ye]; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

Peter Prophetically Tells Disobedient Christians That God's Fiery Great Tribuation Is Really A Blessing Which Will Cause Them To Repent And Be Glorified With Jesus Christ (Matthew 23:37-39).

1 Peter 4:15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or [as] a thief, or [as] an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters. 1 Peter 4:16 Yet if [any man suffer] as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. 1 Peter 4:17 For the time [is come] that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if [it] first [begin] at us, what shall the end [be] of them that obey not the gospel of God? 1 Peter 4:18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? 1 Peter 4:19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls [to him] in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

The Bible Associates Most Of These Words With Mosaic Law Keepers And Priest.

We Biblically Explained This In Our Bible Study Series On 1st And 2nd Timothy And 1st Peter 1, 2 And 3. Please Refer To Those Studies For The Full Information.

The Suffering Of The Great Tribulation That Peter Prophecised About Is Now Upon Us. God Will Judge His House Of Disobedient Israelites And Christians During His Great Tribulation.

The Bible Word "Keeper" Often Refers To Law Keepers (Acts 15:5, 25-28). Peter Is Admonishing Christians To Forsake These "Keepers" And Obey Christ So That They Can Enter The Gate Keeper(s) Of Heaven's Door Way (Gate). This Is God's Deep Dark Presence (The Well) (2 Kings 11:5; 2 Kings 22:4; 2 Kings 23:4; Exodus 20:21; John 4:6, 11; John 19:14-16; Luke 23:43-46; Revelation 2:7).
