Perhaps, You want to know, What the Book of life is. It is an eternal book in Heaven containing the names of saints from all ages. It contains the names of all saints both dead and alive and it is kept by our Lord Jesus Christ himself. In fact, the bible calls the book, the Lamb's book of life in Rev 21:27. Our Lord Jesus Christ writes the names of everyone that gets saved inside the book.
Another thing you should know about the book of life is that it is possible for someone's name that was previously written to be erased from the book of life. If it were not so, JESUS wouldn't have said - "He that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels" - Rev 3:5. May your name not be erased from the book of life in Jesus name.
Lastly, you must know that all those whose names are not written in the book of life would be cast into the lake of fire(Rev 20:15).
Now that you have known all these things. Do you know if your name is written in the book of life? Think about it. Are you born again? Have you accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour? If you have, are you still saved? Examine your self to see if you are still in the faith. Once saved is not forever saved. The spirit of a redeemed christian got saved the day he became born again but his soul has to be renewed on a daily basis in order for him to stay saved. If his soul is renewed on a regular basis and he stays saved, both his body and soul would be eternally saved on the last day when our Lord Jesus Christ shall come. If you are born again, stay close to GOD on a daily basis.
If you are not born again, GOD is given you an open invitation right now. Now is the day of salvation. If you are ready, confess these words:
LORD JESUS CHRIST, I accept you as my personal Lord and Saviour. Come into my heart and be my LORD. I believe you came as a man, died for my sins and was raised back to life on the third day. I confess I have sinned. I admit I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself. I believe you can save me. Now I ask you to forgive me and wash away my sins with your precious blood. I am asking you to write my name in your book of life in JESUS name. I know you have heard me and have answered my prayers. Thank you LORD for saving me. I believe I am saved. Hallelujah! Glory be to GOD!!
If you have just said the prayer, I say - Congratulations! You are born again. Your name has been written in the Lamb's book of life. GOD and his angels are rejoicing because you are saved.
Now that you are saved, don't go back to sin. Stay pure. Pray to GOD daily. Read your bible daily and meditate on the scriptures. Listen to sermons. Attend Church regularly and fellowship with fellow saints. Share your testimony and preach the good news of salvation to sinners. Stay connected to the Holy Spirit and yield to his promptings. He will always speak to your heart. Listen and obey. Talk to Him regularly, worship the LORD with your substance, Pay your tithes. Live a life of praise, worship and thanksgiving and do all GOD asks you to do. GOD bless you.
