You walked on water
You gave sight to the blind
You rescued the weary
And turned water to wine
You healed every sickness
You gave strength to the weak
Demons trembled
When they heard you speak
You once fed five thousand
With food for just one
You taught us of mercy
And of your Spirit, to come
You spoke a word
And the lame man could stand
Even the waves
Obeyed your command!
Sinners were pardoned
Deaf ears could hear
Miracles were common
When you were near
You were an imposter
Thats what they said
They must have felt foolish
When you raised the dead
God in the flesh
Not "just a man"
Still you humbled yourself
To rescue this land
Hung on a cross
Given to shame
Unknown to them
The power of your name
An empty tomb
The stone rolled away
Soon it was evident
You had conquered the grave
The veil had been torn
The way was now paved
Through Christ alone
Sinners were saved
Of one thing Im certain
You still would have died
If only I you had gained
Through Christ crucified
Now who among us
Would do what you did?
Jesus, the greatest
Man who ever lived.
