Are you a regular listener of talk radio? If you are, likely you are familiar with a regular buzzword attributed to those taking a right wing stance. If there is a hint of impropriety or a mysterious unsolved death, they cry “conspiracy.” Conspiracy theories are nothing new. Before we judge too harshly, upon a closer look theory may be theology based.
“Both hands are skilled in doing evil; the ruler demands gifts, the judge accepts bribes, the powerful dictate what they desire-they all conspire together. The best of them is like a brier, the most upright worse than a thorn hedge (Micah 7:3-4a NIV).” Conspiracy led to Jesus’ arrest and crucifixion. (Mark 3:6/14:1) Sadly, today a godless world system conspires against Christianity.
