Just as in the darkest hours of the Battle of Britain it seemed as if the evil of the Nazis were going to win so too did it seem to Asaph as if the wicked were winning and going unpunished as he wrote in Psalms 73.
Just as the British not only persevered against the Nazis in the Battle of Britain but eventually destroyed them so too does God always defeat evil and bless those who are righteous.
Look around us today. How many dictators have we seen meet with very terrible ends along with their henchmen in the Middle East and in South America. How proud and strong they were in their prime. If they lived long enough oh how broken they are when they are sent to prison to rot for the rest of their miserable lives. I wonder if they are tortured in their sleep about the atrocities they committed.
How about you? Are you behaving like a Hitler in your marriage, as a parent at school or work and laughing thinking you are getting away with it? Read history or watch historical films to see what they end of wicked people like you are. Read Leviticus 26 If you repent read Psalm 30
Are you being victimized by a Hitler at work, school, marriage or abusive parents? Take comfort and strength in Gods loving arms. He will rescue you, heal you and even bless you. It may seem hard to believe but it is true. Read Psalm 147
I am a living testimony to it. The Hitler’s in my life are now broken and miserable while I have love, peace and joy.
So too will He with us.
To crush us.
We all have our sins. The only way to purify us of unrepentant sins is to crush us. Just as God weighted heavy upon David for his unconfessed sin with Bathsheba and the murder of her husband so too will He with us until we repent.
Read Psalms 51 and see what David had to say and do about his unconfessed sins.
Are you having sleepless nights or nightmares at night? Are things going wrong in your marriage or at work or school? Is there unconfessed sin in these situations?
There are many times we refuse to admit to our sins and make thing right. As time goes on the situation just keeps on deteriorating until it becomes unbearable. Eventually it will destroy you.
Experience says that when you repent quickly it is easier than being stubborn and refusing to until the situation is unbearable
It will be hard sometimes to do what must be done but speaking from personal experience on the other side of it you will be filled with peace.
The righteousness of the blameless makes a straight way for them, but the wicked are brought down by their own wickedness.
Proverbs 11:5, New International Version
Prayer: Thank you my beloved for walking with me through the difficult times when I had to endure abusive people in my life. Please guard my heart that I am not abusive to others and when I am to quickly repent unto them.I request this in the name of Him who suffered greatly and unfairly by just such people yet remains kind and loving Jesus Christ.Amen.
