Acts chapter 2. verses 36. Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus who you crucified both Lord and Christ.
That very true and bold statement by Peter brought about repentance to three thousand souls. There is a worldly saying that the truth hurts and it certainly did when Peter was bold enough to speak.
There are times when the Holy Spirit will quicken us to speak the truth. The thing is will we have the boldness to speak it out. Sometimes we are in situations when it is not seemingly to us, the time or the place to say it. But if we really know this is of God then who are we to say what would happen. Three thousand souls? or maybe more if we have the courage. Food for thought? it is called conviction first to ourselves to say it and then to those who receive it. After all are we saying that the God who parted the Red Sea could not do such a thing and use us.
Are such things are only for the who are at the forefront of the work of salvation. God will choose who he wants and when he wants. But Lord I am a little old back seat person always in the background. Is that a fact, then we would do well to check the origins of some of the famous saints of God in the scriptures. Well now hang on to your hat as they say we never know what might come next. To the background and the comfortable of us. I can testify to that!.
