I loved to ice skate when really young. One winter day my father had taken me to Blackbird pond to Ice skate. I quickly put my black skates on and rushed out to the center of the pond. I was wanting to enjoy time on the ice. And show my father my latest moves. Then I heard aloud noise. The Ice started cracking. Among the screams of people around me,I heard my father shout at me "DON'T MOVE." In his Marine training he moved around on the shore where I could see him. I remember next being inside the car with his coat around me heading home.
I dont remember being afraid-my eyes were fixed on my Father, I was trusting him to help me. Just as Jesus wants us to have our eyes fixed on him, "DONT MOVE!". And he will rescue us.
"Look to the Lord and his strength;seek his face
always." 1 Chronicles 16:11
