This can be the reason there are so many health problems today.
A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. Proverbs 17:22 New International Version.
I just read a report that said that eighty percent of people in a certain country suffered insomnia, eighty percent had nightmares, eighty percent had no real friends, sixty percent of marriages ended up in divorce and seventy percent suffered depression.
It is the culture in that country to be very materialistic, to lie, steal and cheat to get what you want. They are only friendly with you when they want something from you and they get it by cheating you. When they have gotten all they want or canít get it anymore for free they throw you away like yesterdays garbage.
For example, they have language exchange. They promise you if teach them English they will teach you their language. They will have you teach them English for about two hours. When it is their turn to teach you their language they always make some excuse and leave without giving you your lesson.
If you say to them okay you give me my lesson first they get very angry and walk away.
Do you see how one goes with the other?
When you behave like this: People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God: 2 Timothy 3:2-4 New International Version.
The end result will be sleeplessness, nightmares, loneliness, sadness and trouble in all your relationships.
I have seen people who are cheerful givers and are the most wonderful people to be around. It is a continuous feast of joy and fellowship.
Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Chanan (God is gracious) for the blessing of love in our lives which brings peace to our heart that brings joy to our spirit when we worship You by imitating Your beloved son Jesus Christ. I give thanks in His sweet name. Amen.
May the sweet sunshine of Jesus' precious love bless you today and every day.
