Today people will worship anything or any body other than God.
Have you seen people wheeling dogs in strollers and treating them like they are the most treasured thing in that person’s life? What happens when the dog dies?
I would rather worship Jesus. He never dies.
How about sports? Have you ever met someone who can only talk about a sports club? That is their whole life. What happens when the season ends? Where is their god then?
I would rather worship Jesus. He is never out of season.
Have you seen people spend days waiting outside a store for the newest e box game or mobile phone? A few months later the game or phone is out of style. They wasted all that money.
I would rather have Jesus. He is never out of style.
I know many people consider me to be an odd ball because I do not fit in with them. I am very happy to share Jesus with them but am bored to tears listening to them talk about style or sports teams or hobbies and nothing else.
So if you feel pressured to go along with the crowd, make sure you are going along with the right crowd, all the way to Heaven.
Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Yahweh (God of His people) for the wonderful privilege of worshipping the most special God there ever was, is or will be. I give thanks for this honour in the name of he who made it all possible Jesus Christ. Amen.
