Slow me down, Lord,

I'm running ahead.

Help me to follow

Behind Thee instead.

Slow me down, Lord,

I'm forgetting to pray--

To cast my cares

On Thee each day.

Slow me down, Lord,

I'm getting so stressed

Teach me to find

In Thee, Lord, my rest.

Slow me down, Lord,

Help me to see

The beauties of Creation

Surrounding me.

Slow me down, Lord,

I'm going too fast.

Help me to focus

On things that will last.

Slow me down, Lord,

Remind me to see

And enjoy all the gifts

That come from Thee.

Slow me down, Lord,

I'm getting too busy.

Help me to always

Make time for Thee.
