And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 New International Version
If you ever go and watch a potter make a vase sometimes you will see a lumpy piece of clay picked up. The potter then pounds all the lumpiness out of the clay until it is smooth and they can then work it into what they want like say a beautiful cup.
So too it is with us. Sometimes we can be stubborn with God and He brings difficult circumstances into our lives to pound that stubbornness out of us.
For me it was tree planting in the mountains of British Columbia Canada. I felt God wanting me to go down south to work but I wanted to go up north.
Needless to say I went up north.
Even though I had an exhalent reputation amongst the companies there I could not get work. I ended up camping in a park because there was little money in my bank account. While I was looking for work in town, bears came and destroyed my tent, sleeping bag and everything else. I had to sleep out under the stars being constantly harassed my mosquitoes and prowling bears.
Finally I gave in to God and went down south.
No sooner did I step off the bus than I was offered a job.
Even though the southern planting season was a third of what it was up north I made twice as much money on that contract down south.
So if you are going through a difficult time, maybe you might be wanting to ask God if there is something wrong in your life that He is working on to pound out of you.
Just as the blind dog leads the blind and the blind must have faith in the dog. So too must we have faith in the Holy Spirit. We can not see Him. We do not know where He is leading us. But, we must have faith that He knows where he is taking us Joseph-Anthony: Green
Prayer: Please Jehovah Elohim (God our creator) please make me aware if I am being a lumpy piece of clay in Your masterful hands. Please make me willing to be exquisitely molded into the masterpiece Your are working to create me to be. I humbly ask in Jesus Christís name. Amen.
May the sweet sunshine of Jesus' precious love bless you today and every day.
